Snoring by the person you sleep next to, can stop you from getting the sleep you need. Here are some suggestions:

1. Get the snorer to read this website.

2. Ask the snorer to sleep on his/her side. This may help.

3. Elevate the snorer's head.

4. Ask the snorer not to drink alcohol within 3 hours of going to bed.

5. Arrange to go to sleep first and for the snorer to go to sleep after you have fallen asleep.

6. Don't nap during the day, so you will fall asleep more easily at night.

7. Wear earplugs to reduce the noise.

8. Sleep in a different room if all else fails to stop the snoring.
